In loving memory ~
Ralph joined the navy at the age of 18 and worked as a gunner for 5 years.
His love of the sea then motivated him to work as a deckhand for 2 years on a local salmon troller. He then bought his own boat, the Anchor M. After selling his boat he went to work as a faller with Greenwood Logging Company.
In the mid-1990s he started work at Tofino Hatchery where he spent the next 23 years.
He continued to live near the hatchery and thrived there under the care of his health support team. He was delighted to have them looking after him when he eventually moved to Forest Glen Senior's Housing in Ucluelet where he spent his final days. Ralph's infectious smile and laughter (and occasional naughty jokes) will be missed by many.
