Public Notice: Temporary Use Permits

Pursuant to Section 494 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that the District of Ucluelet will consider the following Temporary Use Permit applications at a Regular Council Meeting held both electronically via the Zoom platform and in the George Fraser Community Room at the Ucluelet Community Centre, 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet B.C., on April 30, 2024, commencing at 4:00pm. Members of the public may attend the George Fraser Community Room to hear, or watch and hear, the meeting, including any electronic participation.

District of Ucluelet Temporary Use Permit 24-02

Application Number: TUP24-02

Applicant: Dominique Bouchard

Location: 1341 Peninsula Road

Legal Description: PID 003-456-030, Lot 3, Plan VIP21726, Section 21, Clayoquot Land District

Purpose: In general terms, the purpose of this permit is to allow a seasonal RV camping space on a portion of a property zoned R-1 (Single-Family Residential) for a local worker. The permit would allow seasonal stays over a period of 3 years.

District of Ucluelet Temporary Use Permit 24-03

Applicant: Nathan Trobridge (Newcastle Engineering Ltd.)

Location: Weyerhaeuser Lands

Legal Description: PID 025-635-743, Lot 4, Plan VIP75113, Clayoquot District, District Lot 285, 286 & 473, except Plan VIP80031

Purpose: In general terms, the purpose of this permit is to allow eight RV camping spaces for worker accommodation at the location indicated on the Weyerhaeuser lands for a period of 1 year, during the installation of works for the adjacent subdivision.

Anyone who believes these applications will affect their interests may make a written submission and will be given an opportunity to be heard at the Council Meeting as follows:

All written submissions must include your name and street address. The subject line should contain the application number you are responding to. Any submissions dropped-off or mailed to the District office must be received by 4:00pm on the date of the Council Meeting. Written submissions are considered part of the public record pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

The Temporary Use Permits may be inspected at the District of Ucluelet office at 200 Main Street from the date of this notice, until the Council Meeting, during regular office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm, excluding holidays).
