Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing for Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1334, 2024 will not be held by the District of Tofino Council pursuant to Section 464(2) of the Local Government Act. Notice is hereby given that consideration of first reading of the bylaw is scheduled for February 20, 2024.

The purpose of the proposed bylaw (which would amend the Tofino Bylaw No. 770 “Zoning Bylaw”) is to amend the land use permissions of the existing AR1 zone (Affordable Residential 1 Comprehensive Development Zone) to allow for home occupations, excluding short-term rentals and bed and breakfasts.

All persons who deem their interest in property affected by the proposed bylaw may inspect the bylaw and associated information by contacting Alex Lader, Senior Planner, to arrange for a digital copy or a pickup at the Municipal Office, 121 Third St., Tofino, B.C., during regular business hours (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) between February 8th, 2024 and February 19th, 2024 except weekends and statutory holidays.
