Kamloops - I've come to the Island over the years to either go to school, visit family or vacation. This last time I was really looking forward to introducing my family (wife and our baby boy) to the beautful parts of Tofino and area. Unfortunately this will probably be our first and last trip to tofino as a family. I was surprised in how high the prices have come and the advantage taken on seasonal travelers. I understand inflation etc..etc but the costs were higher even compared to Maui. Its actually cheaper to fly your family to Maui for a week compared to traveling too (ferries) and staying and eating in tofino. If you just want to cater to the rich or backpackers tenting on the beaches eating KD you're heading in the right direction. But if you want to attract middleclass families you might want to look at how you're operating your businesses and promoting tourism.
