Thanks to Easter volunteers

Dear Westerly, I would like to take a moment and with hopes a bit of space in your paper to share my sincere appreciation and thanks to the members of our community who offer support and time for our annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Thank you to the Westerly Newspaper, without your support we would not have a mechanism to get the message out about the egg hunt and the support required. Thank you for creating and contributing the ad space for this event.

Thank you to the Ucluelet Chamber of Commerce for your continual and colorful posts, we so appreciate your ongoing support.

Ocean Pet Supplies’ Carla Anderson has assisted with this event for the past 5 years. Carla helps to generate donations and makes many trips outside of Ucluelet to locate the mass quantities of eggs to make the hunt a success. Carla you are amazing! How many eggs, is often the biggest question asked?. Hiding inside the nearly 4000 plastic eggs was 12,000 foil wrapped eggs and countless bundles of Jelly Beans plus over 100 non-candy gifts.

The team at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort (Peter Larkin, Shelly LaRose, Christina Jolicoeur, Rena Nitsui, Scott Mitchell, Natalie Syssoloff, Danielle Stothers, Kyle Dearman, Melissa Boucha) along with the helpful hands of a few volunteers; Sandy Rantz, Denise Stoddard, Dan Mose, Marcel Midlane, TJ & Sanam Schmaltz, Janelle Christopher and Bill Embury, all patiently stuffed each egg in preparation. Your support and kindness is so appreciated. Thank you for your eagerness to assist with this project, so incredible. A special thanks to Chef Ceri Wackett for keeping us fed, simply fantastic! To all the wonderful families that braved the uncertainty of the weather, the kids who offered so much thanks and appreciation for every cherished egg they took home; you are all so wonderful and make doing this event so enjoyable.
