In Loving Memory ~
Theodoor Antony Eeftink also known as Ted Eeftink. Cancer took his life at age 64, on November 9, 2022.
Ted was born in Tofino BC, January 25, 1958, and lived all his life in Ucluelet BC.
Ted is survived by his 2 sons, Tony Eeftink and Andrew Eeftink, and his wife of 20 years Tracy Eeftink. Daughter in law Stacey Eeftink and 3 grandchildren that he loved dearly as well as his brothers Leo Eeftink and Mark Eeftink.
Ted was a licenced mechanic; he worked in the logging industry and then owned an automotive garage. Ted never really retired from being a mechanic because he was always helping people, but he partnered with his wife Tracy and owned and operated an adventure tourism, kayaking business.
Ted enjoyed the outdoor life and would consider himself to be an environmentalist, caring intensely about nature and sharing his knowledge while guiding guests on kayak tours.
Ted was a volunteer fire fighter with the Ucluelet Fire Brigade for 30 years of which he served for 10 years as the fire chief.
Ted was awarded for exemplary service and his long-term service.
Ted's favorite things were sports and the outdoors, hiking all around the west coast, exploring Vancouver Island, kayaking, and travelling around the world. Winters were spent skiing with family. Teds hobbies were fixing things, gold prospecting, rock collection and polishing, fishing, reading about history and geography.

Ted's celebration of life will be held at the Ucluelet Community Centre on November 27, 2022, at 1pm.
(There will be limited parking available) Ted's ashes will be laid in the ground with a private ceremony at the Ucluelet Cemetery.
