In loving memory ~

We are never prepared to lose someone we love so much.

Stephen "Chumus" as he is affectionately known in Ukee, passed away in his sleep in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

As we prepare to let our brother go home where he will be with his Mom, Molly and Dad Ivan and so many of our relatives we miss and love, we look back a tiny bit.

He had the "Halvy" work ethic. He was beside Ivan at Haulmor Sand & Gravel. Steve was there the day Dad lost his arm in an accident. Stephen saved his Dad's life that day but never recovered from the trauma of that day either. Stephen loved his father so deeply. Like we love him.

Stephen helped run Haulmor as Dad recovered. Stephen was a fisherman, an engineer on a fishing boat, and a truck driver. He was a partner in his brother's "At Your Service" auto garage in Ukee.

On behalf of the siblings Eric, David (Alison), Lee (Heidi), Connie (Don) and Uncle Steve's (nieces/nephews), Aren, Tyler, Ryan, Darren, Samantha & Brian we are grateful for sharing this journey of life with Stevey. (Grand nieces Aubree and Hadley)

True buddies include Bruce Bailey, Jimmy Brown, Clayton, Todd, Dorothy, Ann, Morgan, Calvin and so many more who just loved our brother unconditionally.

Stephen will be cremated and a celebration of life will be considered in the future.

He would want in lieu of tears, for you to reach out to someone you wish you did not lose touch with, extend your hand.
