Samuel Close passed away peacefully on August 19, 2020 in Tofino General Hospital.
The family wants to express our appreciation to everyone who, with kindness and compassion helped Sam during the last months of his life.
Gabby, Sylvia, Elizabeth, Fred and others; Dr. Horn and the hospital staff. Special thanks to Andy Riley, Darren Rai, Kenny Boone and Darryl Keeble who helped lay Sam to rest in the Ucluelet Cemetery. Apologies to anyone we have missed.
Sam believed that we lived in a Wonderful World and when you hear Satchmo singing the song, think of Sam and smile.
