Marie passed away April 14, 2021 at the age of 93.
She is predeceased by her spouse Benedict Francis Williams, Ray Martin, James Martin, Elaine Martin, Eugene Martin, Patrick Williams, Jeremy Martin Sr and Callista Martin.
Survived by Peter Martin Sr, Beverly Martin, Sandra Martin, Thomas Martin, Cecilia Williams and numerous grandchildren.
Marie has been very Strong Culturally and loved her Humongous family of Nuu-cha-nulth with all her heart and spoke our nations language fluently she knew our history of Tla-o-qui-aht and very instrumental in the teachings of the songs and dances of our chiefs.
She was very active fundraising by baking bread, bottle drives etc and Coached 3 floor hockey teams Lil Chiefs, White Feather and 5 year island Champions the Clayoquot Aces.
She also managed a baseball team called the Flash Backs Also owner of the Niss Mahs Art gallery, where she supported many local artists by buying and selling their work.
