It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charles 'Harvey' Nauffts.
Harvey is predeceased by his infant brother Randy, mother Mary Ernestine 'Stena' (nee Billard), father Charles Stanley Nauffts and first wife Esther (nee Kennedy). Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Harvey enjoyed his early years with family, cousins aunts and uncles in Glace Bay and Donkin. He shared stories of swimming in the harbour, skooshing on ice clampers and fishing with family. As a young man Harvey moved to Ucluelet, BC where he became a faller and raised his family. Harvey shared stories of falling the giant cedars and picking mushrooms in the mystical forests of Vancouver Island and of course, fishing.
Survived by children Sherry (Kevin), Randy (Kim), Cody (Leona), Cole (Jessica), wife Vaida and many grandchildren, the spark, humour and joy of life that was Harvey is carried in our memories and hearts.
