Notice of Disposition of Land - Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District

Pursuant to Sections 285 and 286 of the Local Government Act, Notice is hereby given that the Alberni‐Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) intends to dispose of land via Lease Agreement at the Long Beach Airport CYAZ in Tofino, BC, with the following:

Ocean Networks at “Lot LS‐L2024011” 188 Airport Rd for a one (1) year term with nine (9) one (1) year renewal terms starting July 01, 2024, at a rate of $6,181.32/year plus GST and yearly BC CPI increases. The purpose of this lease is for the operation of a high frequency radar system to monitor the adjacent ocean surface currents and tsunami detection.

Atleo Air at “Lot LS‐L2024012” 188 Airport Rd for an eleven (11) month term with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal terms starting August 01, 2024, at a rate of $6,234.00/year plus GST and yearly BC CPI increases. The purpose of this lease is for a staff accommodations unit, aircraft hangar, and maintenance shop.

Long Beach Enterprises – Fuel at “Lot LS‐L2024013” 188 Airport Rd for an eleven (11) month term with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal terms starting August 01, 2024, at a rate of $3,400.02/year plus GST and yearly BC CPI increases. The purpose of this lease is for an aviation fuel and refueling facility.

Salman, Terrence at “Lot LS‐L2024014” 188 Airport Rd for an eleven (11) month term with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal terms starting August 01, 2024, at a rate of $9,250.63/year plus GST and yearly BC CPI increases.

The purpose of this lease is for an aircraft hangar.

Devon Transport at “Lot LS‐L2024015“188 Airport Rd for a nine (9) month term with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal terms starting October 01, 2024, at a rate of $7,979.52year plus GST and yearly BC CPI increases. The purpose of this lease if for an office and counter for car and truck rental services and parking spots for rental vehicles.

Hazelwood Construction Services Ltd. at “Lot LS-L2024003” 183 Lysander Lane. for a one (1) year term with two (2) one (1) year renewal terms starting January 1, 2024 at a rate of $73,333/year plus and yearly BC CPI increases. The purpose of the lease is if for a laydown area, temporary accommodation of up to a maximum of 18 units for the purpose of construction worker housing, plus one unit (travel trailer/RV) for a Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation Tribal Ally Program accommodation, and purposes directly related.

Any individual or corporation wishing to enter into a lease with the Regional District for this property must submit, in writing, their proposal and acceptance of all of the terms and conditions as outlined in the lease agreement to the Regional District. The proposal must be delivered to the Regional District, at the address shown below, no later than 4:00 pm on June 19, 2024. Faxed or emailed proposals will not be considered.

This is not a call for tenders. No contractual or other obligation will arise between the Regional District and any person that responds to this Notice unless and until a written agreement has been duly executed relating to an approved proposal. The Regional District reserves the right in its absolute discretion to accept or reject any proposal submitted in response to this Notice.
