Ucluelet police have located a 29-year-old man a week after his family had reported him missing.

“The RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 29-year-old male reported missing Dec. 10th has been located, and he is safe and sound. Thanks to the media and public for your assistance,” read a statement from the RCMP on Dec. 17.

Ian Raymund Wedge had been travelling throughout B.C. since June, but his family has not heard from him since he told them he was in the Ucluelet area in November, according to police.
