They're here, in all their round, adorable, collectible glory! Designs for the annual Pacific Rim Whale Festival collectors buttons have been announced.
"It's an annual tradition to have elementary school children create the images for the buttons that are sold at the Pacific Rim Whale festival educational events," said Gillian Nichol, coordinator for the festival. "It's an annual friendly competition between elementary school children at both the Tofino and Ucluelet elementary schools," she said.
Each school produced six winners -and countless more hours of fun.
"Some people like to collect all twelve buttons. The buttons are collector items year after year," Nichol said.
