Inn's fundraiser brings light to those in need

Annual Wickaninnish Inn light tour helps fill shelves at Ucluelet, Tofino food banks

The Wickaninnish Inn is brightening up the day and night for West Coasters for the fifth year in a row.

The Wick opened its doors to the fifth annual Holiday Light Tour & Fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024. The public was invited to celebrate an evening of "holiday magic and giving" with the staff at the inn, who along with Santa Claus and some of his elf helpers—as well as Pollen & Company— transformed the award-winning resort into a twinkling wonderland.

Visitors were welcome to walk, drive or bike around the grounds and enjoy the festive lights, warm beverages, Christmas carolling and chatting with Santa Claus.

"This special evening is our way of celebrating this season and coming together as a community," an inn spokesperson noted on social media.

The evening raised a total of $3,430 which will be split between Fish and Loaves Tofino and Food Bank on the Edge. Public donations were matched by the Wickaninnish Inn up to $2,000.
