After a nearly two year lull, Monday Night Movies are back in Tofino’s Clayoquot Sound Community Theatre for the next four weeks.
Re-opening on Nov. 22 with ‘Sound of Metal’, a co-sponsored soiree with Daylight Cannabis, Monday Night Movie maven Sandi Rideout says things will be a bit different, but she’s hoping for the best.
“People are missing movies. I try to pick movies that are big award winners. It’s a pretty good line-up, there is something for everyone,” she said.
Rideout made a point of noting that if anyone still has a comp ticket tucked away from bygone days that it’s still valid.
“All of the comps never expire. I’m sticking to that,” she said.
Otherwise, single tickets are now $10 (or get a book of five are $40) and sadly, there will be no concession as mask wearing is a must.
“We’ve been living with (the restrictions) for a while so they are not that new. Show vaccination passport at the door and wear your mask at all times. Stay in your seat and enjoy the movie,” said Rideout. “If the audience doesn’t respect the space and the people it just can’t happen.”
