Tofino Resort + Marina’s annual Sea of Lights boat parade will illuminate the Tofino Harbour this Saturday, Dec. 4.

Festivities start from 4:00 p.m. with s’mores and hot chocolate by donation around the fire pit courtesy of the Tofino Fire Department and at 5.30 p.m., a Christmas Market will open in the Upper Hatch.

At 6:00 p.m., the Tofino’s Children’s Choir will warm-up the crowd leading up to a Christmas tree lighting spectacle at 6:30 p.m. The glittering Sea of Lights boat parade will take to the water from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.

“We are proud that our Sea of Lights and tree light-up has become a community holiday tradition and a wonderful way to mark the start of the holidays,” says GM Christopher Fehr.

“We are excited to welcome both guests and locals to celebrate the start of the festive season.”

Marketing co-ordinator Katrina Bernaus confirmed that the jolly man in the red suit will be making an appearance during Saturday’s celebrations.

“We will have Santa Claus there,” said Bernaus.

Kids can also drop off their Letter to Santa starting Dec. 4 at the special mailbox on site.

Ucluelet’s Harbour Lights Sail Past is set for Wednesday, Dec. 8 with Dec. 9 being the alternative night pending the weather forecast.
