Hotel Zed Tofino is one of the finest hotels in Canada, according to the 2022 list of Fodor’s Finest Hotels.
Located on the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, Hotel Zed Tofino was one of only four Canadian Hotels on the global list of 101 accommodations and the only one from B.C.
“We are floored by this. It is a completely unexpected and great honour. We have poured our hearts into this property, so it is really special to us to receive this recognition, ” said CEO of Hotel Zed Mandy Farmer, who opened the pet-friendly resort in August 2020.
The Fodor’s brand includes a popular travel website and series of guidebooks on over 300 destinations. Fodor’s editorial team notes the hotel’s “bohemian vibe” and says it’s the alternative gateway to exploring British Columbia’s hippiest town.
“The lobby sets the tone with a sunken living room boasting wall-to-wall shag carpet—just like your parents’ ’70s romper room—a mini disco, and a Don Draper-style living room whose bookcase slides over to reveal a secret arcade with retro video games,” writes Fodor’s.
Trina Notman, VP of marketing at Hotel Zed, praised the staff.
